Rohtang Pass is one of the most beautiful places that a person can visit. Situated in the lap of Pir Panjal range this pass is famous for its astonishing beauty and thrilling roads. Rohtang Pass has been a place of attraction for most the tourists because of its beautiful landscapes and availability of snow even in the summers.
Anyone who wants to visit Rohtang Pass needs to hold a permit from the Tourism Authorities/NGT. Permit fees are applicable for all the vehicles visiting Rohtang Pass for tourism purpose only. Permits are issued as per the quota defined by the Tourism Authorities/NGT (National Green Tribunal). Tourism permit is valid only for one day i.e. for the day it has been issued for.
How to Get Rohtang Pass Permit:
• As per the tourism Administration/NGT (National Green tribunal), one can get Rohtang Permit Online from the following link
www.rohtangpermits.nic.in/
• (Note: such permit is issued to tourist vehicles for tourism purpose only up to Rohtang Pass)
• Daily quota for Rohtang Permit as per defined by Tourism Authorities is 600 for Petrol Vehicles & 400 for Diesel Vehicles.
• A permit issued is only valid for the single day it has been issued for.
• No vehicle is allowed on Tuesday as the day is marked as maintenance day for Rohtang Pass.
• Permits can only be applied foe next 6 days from current date
Mandatory Information Required for Rohtang Pass Permit:
• Valid Id Proof
• Valid Pollution Under Check (PUC) Certificate
• Vehicle Registration Date (Vehicle must not be more than 10 years old)
• Tourist Address
Congestion Charges:
These charges are applicable for all the vehicles crossing Gulaba Bridge. The tax is paid on the daily basis and is valid for one day only.
